Exact Wording First

Open, layered, contract-first market reading.

Field note
The market title creates the story. The contract wording creates the bet. Read the story last.
What this is for
Exact Wording First
Use this when the title sounds obvious but the actual resolution text may be narrower, broader, or stranger than the headline.
When to use it
Before filling out a Clinic worksheet, before copying a prompt, or before entering any market with a social-media headline attached.
Related Clinic step: 2–6: wording, resolver, YES condition, exclusions
Resource Body
- Copy the exact contract text before reading commentary.
- Circle the verbs: happen, announce, resolve, confirm, certify, win, withdraw, land, resign.
- Circle the authority: who decides what counts?
- Write what does not count. This is often the real market.
- If the title and wording disagree, the wording wins.
